Options of parent education for children and teens in school

The diploma thesis deals with parent education at school at theoretical part. Its aim is to provide the necessary methodological ideas and principles which can promote better preparation for teachers of primary and lower secondary schools to implement parent education. The present work highlights the importance of family upbringing for the child's personality, the majority of the current instability in Czech families and the history of problematic areas and deficiencies in preparing children and adolescents for their future role as a father and a mother. The theoretical part is completed by defining the necessary requirements for teacher personality which dedicated to teaching about family and parenthood at the school. At the empirical part, there is a questionnaire to a sample probe 72 Czech teachers of first and second degree qualified to teach elementary science, health education, civic education (education for citizenship), family education, personal and social education, respectively other objects within which pay attention to family and parenthood. It was concluded that the attitudes of teachers to teach these topics in the choice proved to be rather positive.
